As part of this year's Toronto Jazz Festival club series, Lula Music and Arts Centre and Lula Lounge present five concerts featuring five great female jazz artists, bandleaders and composers.

Tuesday, June 23
Lara Solnicki
Critically acclaimed contemporary jazz vocalist Lara Solnicki, is joined by two of Canada's finest jazz musicians, guitarist Ted Quinlan and bassist Jim Vivian, in a performance featuring music from her 2014 sophomore album "Whose Shadow?" (Inner Circle Music), gems from The Great American Songbook and more!

Wednesday, June 24
Diane Roblin
Pianist and composer Diane Roblin's debut CD, RECONNECT has received rave reviews and is on JazzFM 's Jaymz Bee's "Top 3 List for 2014.” Featuring all-original, jazz-funk compostiions, the band plays high energy music from the heart. With Jeff King, Mike Pelletier, Amhed Mitchell and Howard Spring.

Zeynep Ozbilen
Dizzying Mediterranean rhythms and mesmerizing melodies characterize Zeynep’s unique take on world jazz, revealing both her Turkish roots and her extensive Latin American performance experience. Followed by funk/rock/soul fusion by Yasgur’s Farm.

Eliana Cuevas
Through years of touring around the world, across Canada, and collaborating with Juno Award-winning performers, Eliana Cuevas has grown into an accomplished singer-songwriter and bandleader with unlimited colours in her compositional and lyrical palette.

Sunday June 28
Sunnie Paxson and Friends
Based in L.A. contemporary jazz pianist, keyboardist, composer and producer Sunnie Paxson returns to Toronto to Lula for one night only for an evening of jazz, soul and funky stylings accompanied by Lyne Tremblay, Laura Robinson, Rich Brown and Steve Heathcote.
