Ikonika는 그녀의 2008년 최고의 싱글 ‘Please’ 이후까지 비약적인 발전을 이루어 왔고 그러면서 Hyperdub의 핵심인물이 된다. 2010년 데뷔 앨범인 ‘Contact, Love, Want, Have’를 발매함에 따라 그녀는 전 세계를 투어했으며 좀 더 클럽씬에 포커스 맞춰진 방향을 경험하였고 그러면서 그녀조차 예상치 못한채로 자신의 멜로디적 감성과 UK 언더그라운드 음악을 믹스하는 방식을 가지게 된다.

2013년에 Ikonika는 Hyperdub에서의 그녀의 두번째 앨범인 ‘Aerotropolis’를 공개했다. RA에서부터 pitchfork까지의 비평가들에 의해 크게 칭송받았으며 DJ Mag's Best of British awards에서 베스트 프로듀서와 베스트 앨범 부문의 노미네이트 되었으며, Dummy의 올해의 최고 리믹스 2위에 선정되기도 한 Chvrches의 ‘Lies’ 리믹스에 참여하며 그 해를 마무리하였다.

2014년에는 'Position EP' (Hyperdub)의 발매를 통해 헤비한 클럽 트랙과 Hyperdub 10주년 컴필레이션에서의 컨트리뷰션 그리고 빈틈 없는 투어 스케줄을 볼 수 있었다.

2015년 역시 Ikonika에게 대단한 한 해가 될 것으로 보인다. 케이크샵은 그녀의 한국 첫 방문을 맞이하게 되어 정말로 기쁘다!

Ikonika has taken enormous strides since her classic 2008 single 'Please' and become one of the key Hyperdub label figures. Following the release of her 2010 debut album 'Contact, Love, Want, Have', Ikonika toured the world and explored a more club-focused direction whilst retaining her twisted take on UK underground music mixed with her melodic sensibility.

In 2013, Ikonika unveiled her second album for Hyperdub, 'Aerotropolis'. Widely praised by critics from RA to pitchfork, she rounded the year off with nominations for Best Producer and Best Album at DJ Mag's Best of British awards, and a remix of 'Lies' by Chvrches that was voted 2nd best remix of the year in Dummy.

2014 saw the release of the 'Position EP' (Hyperdub), a collection of heavy club tracks, contributions to Hyperdub's 10th anniversary compilations and a packed touring schedule.

2015 looks to be a huge year for Ikonika and we are so pleased to welcome her on her first visit to Korea!
