The club is over 100 years old, it's centenary year was in 1996. It was originally a Liberal club, but it is now affiliated to the CIU.
The building itself once comprised of four cottages, which probably accounts for it's attractive and unusal shape.
The Hall in particular, is very attractive, not your usual sqaure box shape. This can be hired out with concessions to members. Please contact the club for more details.
In addition to the hall we have a comfortable lounge, which can also be hired out.
The club has a Cask Marque Certificate and is well known for the excellant varity of Real Ales on offer. There are 4 Real Ale Bitter's on at any time. 2 Regulars, being Adam's Bitter & the ever popular Fullers London Pride. Also 2 guest beers from all over Great Britian, gives us all a wonderful chioce. Much love and care is given to ensuring that the ales are in tip top condition from our stewards Tony & Malcolm.
Apart from drinking the excellant beer, one of the club's favorite pastimes is Bingo which is played on a Wednesday, Friday, Saturday Evening
Every Saturday evening we have free entertainment for members in the hall. Live groups & Discos, plus we have invested in our own Disco booth. Your Compere/DJ is Big Pete, he can be seen & heard most Saturday's spinning the disc's and calling out the Bingo numbers. Rumour has it, that Pete first mastered the art of DJing when Turn Tables were once Steam-Driven ?
We have a large car park and attractive Beer Garden with slides and swings for the kids.
