We're on! With a 5.13pm high tide, tonight's SUP Club will be a slightly shorter downwinder from Chalkwell to Thorpe Bay just to make sure we've got enough water. Meeting at 6.30pm at the rigging green (SS0 8JJ, see www.wetndrysup.com/sup-locations/chalkwell-beach/) we're aiming to launch promptly at 6.45pm. As always, leashes compulsory, and dress bearing in mind that a dunking or two is possible... Again, we're hoping for a solid tail-wind over flattish water as the wind veers NW, although this is the coast on a breezy day so there are no guarantees! We're expecting to get to the coastguard station just over an hour later, before crossing the road to the Shorehouse pub (SS3 9HQ) for a drink. Logistics for lifts / taxis back to the start to be arranged at the end. Probably. Or liaise amongst yourselves to drop vehicles at the finish – just don't be late for the launch!
