Before 'boompty' and 'IAHG' there were warehouse parties during the early 1980s in Chicago, and our guest this month was right there learning his craft.

Our fifteenth instalment for 2014 sees the art.haus movement return to Brazil Lounge for a special 'Chicago Edition'. Join us, as we say farewell to Chicago House veteran, and art.haus favourite, the inimitable CHITRONIX!!!

With art.haus being at the forefront of Bahrain's underground music scene, expect the usual dose of House, Techno and Disco from the island's quirkiest decknicians.


CHITRONIX

House Braxton - Chicago Kid

Chicago House veteran and now Bahrain resident (soon bound for the UAE), Chitronix, hails from the south side of Chi-town, and was part of the scene that gave birth to House music back in the early 1980s.

Drawing inspiration from family members such as seminal producer Paul Johnson, Chitronix has become an ambassador of House music and an art.haus favourite.

His DJing influences include the Hot Mix 5, Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Ron Hardy (RIP), Leonard Remix Rroy and many, many more.

Played alongside the likes of Rob Mello, Matt Tolfrey, John Talabot and Marc Romboy.

Dropped sets around the UK, Europe and beyond. From the Ministry of Sound (London) and Mono_Cult (Leeds) to Elvis (Thessaloniki) and Coral Beach (Manama).
