To mark the 20th anniversary of Hearts’ 1998 Scottish Cup win, the club will be screening a special re-run of the final on Sunday 25th February
It promises to be a fantastic day in the Gorgie Suite featuring the goals from every one of the Jambos’ Scottish Cup games that season, culminating in a full replay of that unforgettable final against Rangers on May 16th, 1998.
Join fellow Jambos as we relive every second of the match, from the moment Colin Cameron put Hearts ahead from the penalty spot to the jubilant celebrations at the sound of the full-time whistle.
The host for the day is Mark Martin and he will be joined by no fewer than three members of the 1998 Scottish Cup winning squad: Gary Locke, Gary Naysmith and Jose Quitongo!
All three will share their memories of the run up to the final, the game itself and of course the post-match celebrations.
The 98’ Cup Re-Run is the fourth event in a series of nostalgic specials that will run up until the 20th anniversary in May, previous events have seen hundreds of fans pack into the Gorgie Suite for the inaugural Big Tynie Challenge, the 98 Cup Winners’ Carvery, and the Derby Brunch; all of which celebrated the famous Jambo side that brought the Scottish Cup back home to Gorgie for the first time in 42 years.
The event kicks off in the Gorgie Suite at 12.30pm and tickets are priced at £15 for adults and £10 for children.
The price includes a half-time pie and a pint/soft drink. A cash bar will be in operation throughout and food will be available to purchase on arrival.
