Mod Club Ottawa is proud to present special guest DJ TREVOR WALKER on Sunday, March 22nd!!

Credited as the primary catalyst and pioneer of the jazz/funk and house music movement in Ottawa, Trevor has been in the industry since 1989. Although Jazz remains the binding influence behind the music Trevor plays, he will take listeners on a journey anywhere from afrobeat, Caribbean, Reggae, Latin and Brazilian vibes to funk, disco, broken beat and house

A stalwart on the radio waves, Trevor hosted and produced two radio shows. “New Soul Collective”, 1991-2004, specializing in new and old soul, funk, jazz, Afro and Latin grooves. “The Undergrove”, 1994-2003, specialized in the deeper end of house music, both on CKCU fm 93.1. www.ckcufm.com

Trevor has also had the opportunity to play with some amazing artists from opening for Gil Scott-Heron, Fred
Wesley and Maceo Parker, Jamiroquai and the Soul Jazz Orchestra to playing with Louie Vega, Rainer Truby,
Gilles Peterson, Patrick Forge, Osunlade, Jeremy Ellis, Miles Cleret, Mad Mats, Daz-I-Cue, Derrick Carter,
Fred Everything, Quantic, Rise Ashen, Joe Claussel, Nicola Conte, Jojo Flores, Miguel Graca and Karizma to
name a few.

Trevor may currently be heard on CKCU FM every Friday for Friday Drive, and can be seen every Saturday for Lifeboogie at Mercury Lounge.
