Saturday the 26th September will see the launch party for TECH SESSIONS the first Techno & Tech House only event at the SugarHut Cairns.

Local underground crew TecTonic and Player-One have joined forces with international DJ talent from across the world to host a night of only the coolest and freshest Techno sounds.

The SugarHut Cairns has extended trading hours and will be open until 5am for this once a month event so you and your friends can party hard to all eight artists each showcasing their own eclectic style.

An additional sound system, psychedelic decor and neon make up artist will be provided on the night.

JANIC
From Perth WA; Janic has been behind the decks since the age of 17 hosting events and sharing his love of House all over Australia. His DJing career took off when he moved to the European party haven of Croatia to take up residencies at the Red Carpet in Split and Hula Hula bar in Hvar. He then went on to host the famous Pukka Up boat parties in Ibiza before returning to Australian soil for the beautiful tropics of Cairns. He’s currently the resident House and Techno DJ at the SugarHut providing fresh and pumping House guaranteed to get you on the dance floor.

DALE COOPER
Dale is a London Deep House & Tech DJ who provides a distinct dark and thumping underground sound. Currently a weekend resident at the SugarHut Cairns, he has been part of the London electronic music scene since 2012 with residencies at Deco, London and Cafe 1001’s day parties on the infamous Brick Lane in Shoreditch. Since leaving the UK in April 2015 Dale has continued to share his talent with various House and Techno events throughout Asia most recently in Kuta, Bali and on the party island Gili T.

REENER
Reener (Dave Marino) is a deep & progressive tech-house DJ from Toronto, Canada. He has played at countless clubs & parties during his 7 years behind the decks, including when the Space Ibiza Festival touched down on his home soil at the legendary Sound Academy venue alongside Umek, Pleasurekraft & Jay Lumen. Expect to be taken on a musical journey during a sophisticated set filled with sexy grooves, never before heard remixes & the very best in four-to-the-floor dance music.

BARRY TECHNO
Barry Techno (or Jak Wilson to his mum!) waves the flag for Doncaster, Yorkshire and is certainly no stranger to the club scene! At the age of 15 he was hosting illegal boat parties on the River Don and by 16 was producing his very own sounds ranging from bouncy House and Hardcore to more recently Jackin' House and Techno. His infectious style was noticed by the two main clubs in Doncaster The Priory and Social Bar where he held residencies for 4years which saw him warm up for Judge Jules, Hannah Wants, DJ Caspa, DJ Zinc, Ill Phil and Chris Lorenzo.

TE-RAA
Patrick Dwyer has been DJing for little more than 10 months but has taken Cairns by storm hosting private parties all over town for his mates and recently being hailed the 'DJ of the Night' at our first Bedroom DJ event. He has been brought up a true lover of R&B and has recently expanded his DJing ability to include House, Bounce and Techno. Watch out for this boyo he brings a huge entourage and an absolutely banging sound!

TECTONIC
TecTonic (Ben O'Halloran) has grown up in the beautiful tropics of north Queensland and discovered his love for psychedelic music and the community surrounding it through the outstanding and unrivalled Zero Db festival and other bush doofer events. He has been DJing since 2014 and has recently began his journey into production with tunes and sets ranging from 125bpm to 138bpm. He's played at various local parties and supported Alice Space Doll with the Locally Hosted Crew.

PLAYER ONE

Player One is 31 year old Dwayne Banham from Cairns. He’s been involved in Djing and organising events since 2000 and is heavily inspired by psychedelic sounds, cosmic alignments and dance culture. His ripe passion for good music and good times has seen Dwayne play at many gatherings over the globe including Tree of Life (Turkey), Israel Tour, Eclipse 2012, Rainbow Serpent, Maitrey, Tribeadelic as well as countless Aussie bush parties. The Player One vibe has evolved and been refined into a progressive and full on sound aimed to lift any party! Expect some of the most cutting edge dance music in the industry from this artist.
