You will be the first one to know when pictures are uploaded!
This is not a night out or any type of promotion for the bar, this is simply us wanting to try and help give something back.
Wave 105 a local radio station is again this year fundraising to give Christmas presents to local disadvantaged children.
BELOW IS THE DESCRIPTION FROM THEIR WEBSITE
''Thousands of children in poverty will wake up to a Christmas without presents this year.
That’s why Wave 105 Cash for Kids, in partnership with Foresters, the international financial services organisation, have launched Mission Christmas. We’re asking you to buy just one extra present this year – a gift that we’ll give to a disadvantaged child to make their Christmas morning that little bit brighter. We're looking for new and unwrapped gifts suitable for children and young people aged 0 to 18 years''
This is a cause close to our hearts at Sobar. Some of the directors were Youth Workers in a former life and have worked with some of the most disadvantaged kids in Southampton and think that with the link that Sobar has to you guys we could really make a difference here.
SO WHAT ARE WE ASKING......
1. That you go out and buy a toy for a young boy or girl that can be donated to the cause. The toy should be suitable for a child aged 0-18 and should be unwrapped and it has to be new. it could be something as small at a teddy or something as big as a bike!
You don't even really have to go out of your way. Sainsburys have some awesome toys in at the moment cheap and Amazon is easy to buy from.
2. You bring the toy to the Sobar on one of the allocated donation days below and in return we will give you a FREE LOYALTY CARD, plus FREE MULLED WINE and FREE MINCE PIES.
and thats it! It is that simple. We will then get the gifts picked up and you would have done your good deed for this year!
Please click going to the event if you intend to donate so we can see just how many mince pies we really need to buy!
Thanks
Becky
