TTC is taking it 2-Step this week with two artists representing 2 eras of underground dance music – Wookie and DJ Barely Legal.

First up, MOBO nominated “Best Producer”, Wookie, is a figurehead of the UK Garage Scene. Having produced for Wayne Marshall, Soul II Soul and Dynamite MC in the early 90’s, he went on to produce a number of club classics such as top 10 hit, “Battle”, and underground sensation “Scrappy”. His massive remix of Sia’s “Little Man”, is one of UKG’s biggest tunes.

More recently he has worked with the likes of Jessie J, Justin Timberlake and Roll Deep, has produced “The Hype” featuring Eliza Doolittle and remixed the likes of Wilkinson, Disclosure and Bobby Womack.

Next we welcome a young DJ who has been making waves across British clubland over the past few years. After purchasing her first set of decks in 2011 at the age of 19, DJ Barely Legal has gone on to play at clubs across the UK, and festivals such as Outlook in Croatia.

Her ability to seamlessly mix between various styles of UK bass music has been receiving attention from Rinse FM and BBC Radio 1 Xtra, and in Autumn 2014, Barely Legal was given the honour of playing alongside Four Tet and Loefah at Fabric’s 15th Birthday event. She put together the mix below for the celebrations.
